Why can't we beat Chelsea ?

We nearly did it against Arsenal. Arsenal also struggle to beat West Ham at home.
Chelsea should have gone 2-1 down (what a miss) b4 they scored at the other end.

If fans & even players think there's no chance against Chelsea even b4 a ball is kick - then we already lost.

What you should appreciate is the manager does not get the flack just when we are losing games. He gets it both ways because he is incompetent to manage Liverpool.

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is if you think we'll beat Chelsea and give the winnings to the Hillsborough fund!

Sol: I was having the similar thought the other day but in a different context but I could be wrong.

I used to quote that one thing that Rafa was not very good at was media handling in specific when managing the expectations of the fans. He had the right attitude in approaching games no matter who we were playing, that is " We always go for the win!" Every game became a must win game and when we drew or lost, it was difficult to swallow!

The way I see now is Roy has completely change this approach. He says to the fans that we are rubbish, the opposition are brilliant, the owners need to invest, our players are lacking confidence, Rafa left poor players to work with etc, etc. So in return we, the fans tend not to expect much from any game we play. Like today for example, it felt like a surprise that we won. So if we win, it's a miracle, if we draw or lose, well that's our level and we need to get use to it!

Basically he is trying to manage our expectations but he going the absolute wrong way about it! His 10 games are up...thank you Roy before we find ourselves back in the bottom three again!

There just seems to be so many interviews or quotes from him when he is under no obligation to make them so often, it has reached the point where he seems like he is trying to say enough to get himself sacked and pick up a nice pay day for a few months work.

The only other possibility is that these interviews are computer generated from a template since the normally consist of some combination or all of the following:

hyping the opposition team or specific player,
denigrating or failing to defend the playing staff,
sniping at fans or other managers or the rare journo that doesn't back him,
downplaying expectations,
hyping his own record,
blaming others for any failings.
