Well, I understand the idea but the minute you put the "interfering with
play in the first phase" bit in, you introduce opinion. Surely that can't be
right.

Can anyone remember when the phrase "the attacking player has the benefit of
the doubt" line was taken out?

That sounded a great idea but never really seemed to be followed - because
it was down to opinion..

At the risk of kicking off an argument....

Surely if a review system had been available, as in cricket currently, the
replay would have allowed Torres' goal.

Can't be too hard to say that reviews only exist for game changing
decisions.

As in cricket, allow (maybe) only one per side then they can't be abused.
(I know they have 2 !!)

Prob can't happen as Fifa say the same rules have to apply all the way down.
(Is that actually true BTW?)

Anyway, really annoyed about the disallowed goal the other night but still
looking forward to beter things!
