Am I alone in finding it laughable that footballers bring out
autobiographies while they are still playing - often in their early
twenties. Now I'm not having a go at our players, but it just seems crazy
for anyone to bring out an autobiography at that point - memoirs should be
published at the end of a career (regardless of what that career is), not
during it.>
I'm with you on that on Ed. If I was a manger, there's three things I'd have written in to player contracts - no biographies, no poncey coloured boots and no twittering about the club!
Alas, as Colin said, it's all about greed, and we don't help buying the bloody books. I'd recommend The Essential Shankly by John Keith. I was given Crouch's book as a chrimbo prezzie a few years ago, it's still on the shelf...Crouchie! What has he achieved, any winners medals?
Keith
