I was reading this acticle headlined "Managers maketh a successful team" on Soccernet from a guy called Alexander Netherton. Somewhere in it, he said this:
"Chelsea should know the benefits of moving on. In 2005, Steven Gerrard
was half a hair away from joining them but for a last minute change of
heart. True, Gerrard won a Champions League, but that was his last
success (no - you can't count the 2006 FA Cup)"
Can't count the 2006 FA Cup? Shutup Alexander. Whether its winning the league, Champions League, FA Cup or Carling Cup, winning at least 1 trophy is always something we aim for at the start of every season. Alexander also seems to forget that Stevie scored 1 of the alltime great FA Cup Final goals which eventually helped us to win the 2006 FA Cup. If he hasn't of done that, West Ham would have won the cup.
