Maybe we underestimated how much Qatar paid for the world cup, perhaps it
wasn't just huge bundles of cash, it was also that they would put up a
candidate that was strong enough to dissuade others from putting their name
forward, but who agreed to drop out late enough to ensure Septic got in
unopposed.
