Well I think it was much more a case of what was in the interests of Villa,
rather than GH:
As for why doesn't he go off into retirement? I guess it's because football
is all that he knows. It's amazing the number of people, from all walks of
life, who retire and then just die quite quickly because they have nothing
to get up for in the morning.

To say they're binning him is a bit harsh I'd say. The article says
mutual consent and "It is understood Villa officials are concerned a
return to the dugout for Houllier could cause further health problems
and may not, therefore, be fair to him or the club." The guy has
heatlh problems. The thing is, why he still wants to carry on is
baffling. He should be thinking about sipping wine, enjoying the rest
of his life.
