You do realise that the window doesn't actually open officially for many countries until the 1st july don't you? Just because we haven't signed an army of players nor moved on loads does not automatically imply we are stuck with what we have.
So far we have bought one youngster who has room to improve, but is already good enough to add to our side and have refused to pay more than we think a player is actually worth in two other cases, so what have we actually done wrong so far?
As far as this plan of blowing the budget on 1 or 2 players, I am glad you aren't in charge of transfers since the important thing is that we address the gap in the side at leftback and then go from there in whatever manner would best improve the team and squad now and in the longterm.

The only bright part of, for me, is that we do seem to be drawing a line in the sand with players [Marveaux another = bullet dodged there] and so we should.
The thing is hopefully the end package of who we get will determine whether it's been a successful window. Personally the targets that we are getting mentioned with are somewhat underwhelming. I've also got a sneaking suspicion that FSG are insisting that we offload a fair number of players and we don't seem to be getting rid of any of the deadwood at all and maybe that's holding up things. Hopefully not, because we may not sign any more if that's the case.
Personally, I would have rather seen us blow the budget on 1 or 2 players only that would make a major impact on the team.
