"officially" is the word, but doesn't seem to be stopping others and I recognize that we may be active behind the scenes.

I've made it clear before that I'm not a fan of the massive squads and I'd rather have 1 or 2 players that make an immediate impact, like Suarez and I'm happy to have solid youngsters provide the backup. This also makes more sense this year where there is no European games. We have a massive squad now that is full of dross that costs a load in wages and their total minutes of play is very minimal.

You are targeting LB, which is fair enough......so who do you want? I'd suggest Enrique or Baines would be a massive step up, so use the money, pay the price and get one of them in. But I'd suggest that FSG aren't interested in bringing in 4/5 squad players while we still have 4/5 there that we are paying to gather splinters.....and rightly so.
