The wider question of United getting  away with a lot is more intersting to me.  Rafa made the same point.  I feel it's right.
 
The Rooney thing?  Well, yes, he should have been punished, but it's not worth getting all worked up about on its own.  Besides, what's the betting that he finds it hard to get away with anything for a while now?

More years, less years, number of offences etc. All meaningless when trying
to come up with a justifiable argument for/against the 'Rooney elbow'. It
was wrong, end of.

My point is it's very easy to forget similar issues closer to home when
shouting from the roof top.
