I don't think anyone needs to be reminded of this. There was a minute's
silence at the rugby yesterday - an appropriate venue given NZ's passion for
the sport.
I am sure that, since many people in the UK have relatives in NZ, their
thoughts are with the people of Christchurch.
Thankfully my family and their friends and relatives are all okay. But I
recognise some of the places that have been destroyed. It never occurred to
me during several visits to Christchurch that this could have been on the
agenda. Wellington perhaps. But not Christchurch.
