LOL - Traumatic really doesn't begin to describe my week!
We had a lousy journey home from a very cold holiday in Finland (-30C to -40C
nearly all week). Our loft flooded on the first night back and the water
poured down into a bedroom below and then into the kitchen.
The trip through the tunnel on Thursday night was actually scary at times
because some people(including lorries) started to lose patience and change
lanes. I had visions of being engulfed in a fireball at any moment.
But I am hoping that things are on the up.....
1) If the reported kick off times are correct then that saves me another 6
o'clock nightmare.
2) It's March next week and I can turn my LFC calendar back to facing the room
as Mr February (Fernando Torres) is replaced by Mr March (Pepe Reina). On the
subject of Pepe, he's quoted in The Echo as 'loving life' under Kenny. I hope
so because he was reportedly one the players most unhappy with Hodgson and
his henchmen
3) Last night I literally had an "Oh My God" moment in the queue in the
supermarket because one Robert Bernard Fowler was behind us. He was sporting
a rosey complexion (I don't think the Aussie sun and him get on) and carrying
a small boy on his shoulders. In the wake of Nando leaving there has been
much talk of legends. Robbie for me is up there with the best because he
illuminated the dark period for the club that was the 1990's. He was very
patient last night because, despite having his hands full, he happily posed
for photos with fans who flocked towards him with their camera-enabled mobile
phones.
Now all I need is 3 points tomorrow ......
