Career Training for Aviation Mechanics

You can boost your career opportunities by training at a Federal Aviation Administration- (FAA) certified school. About 170 trade schools have this distinction. You can earn an associate or bachelor's degree in avionics, aviation technology, or aviation maintenance management. The FAA requires mechanics to have at least 1,900 class hours.
