The concerns regarding him tarnishing his reputation if things went
pear-shaped are understandable but it wasn't a case of him being
pushed into it AFAIK. He really wanted the job, and at a time when the
club needed someone like him, who is Liverpool through and through. So
since he was ready to risk tarnishing that awesome reputation I
believe he should have got the chance but alas once again the board
made the wrong (acc. to us) choice. If it was their concern to buy
time and ride the storm Kenny should have been the ideal choice but on
the flip side Kenny might (and I guess) would have turned into the
voice of the thousands on the stands.

Was he??? Fat Sam? Must have missed that one. Just for the record,
Pellegrini would have been a better option. Hindsight is great :)
