I don't think that would be the reason for getting somebody like young or downing, if it is somebody already used to the premiership with a contract that is running down then they could be an asset and reduce the pressure on an new foreign signings to settle in as quickly as they can't all fit in as fast as torres or suarez.

In any case, unless you are playing for a club that is contending for the CL wouldn't quite a lot of players look at it as a shop window to potentially attract attention from a bigger club?
