With Larry on this one....
Admittedly, all I saw was a limited replay snippet, but I thought the defender
went to ground very easily or may have been a bit off balance. The play was
right in front of the official and he chose to ignore it.
I've seen more blatant fouls every corner kick of most any match.
I am also not sure why, on a single piece of inconclusive evidence, you are
questioning Carroll's approach to football.

You can take the piss as much as you like. All I'm trying to say is
that personally I don't like it no matter what shirt a player is
wearing. The complaints on this list regarding decisions that go
against us, in favor of our opponents have been brought up countless
times and have been discussed at length. You can't have it both ways.
It should be banished from football. Honesty and fair play is what we
all want to see I believe. Or are we going down the path of the
Rooneys, Materazzis, Ronaldos? If you are saying that rather than
having a level, fair playing field we should all support/encourage
players to do anything to gain advantage or turn a blind eye to it
because it is our team then I have nothing else to say. It's cheap and
growing up watching us in the 80s and 90s I don't remember us having
to resort to such ploys.
