Come off your soap box.
Don't know what kind of game you're hoping to see, but football is a
physical game. If there's contact, it's up to the officials to spot it
and call it. There are probably a dozen incidents in every game where
there's a foul committed and nothing's given. Are you suggesting the
player should stop the play, tell the ref what he did, and ask for the
free to be given against him?
Fouls/Pushing/Pulling is all part of the game, always has been, and
hopefully always will be. What's you're suggesting would kill the sport
stone dead.
As for bringing the other payers into it, surely you're not trying to
suggest Carroll pushing a defender is in the same category as the
blatant cheating that Ronaldo does, or the assault that Rooney carried
out on McCarthy.
You normally talk a lot of sense Ilker, but this time you're miles off.
Since I wrote all the above, I youtubed the clip in question, and
there's nothing in it. The defender backed into Carroll, Carroll pushed
himself away from the defender to get a run at goal, and the defender
fell over.
The game is well and truly finished if you think that was a freekick.
Regards,
