It seemed expensive to me because it was coming out of pocket money and not a
salary! But I think my first programme in 1973 cost me 5p whereas they're £3
now. Can't remember how much the entrance was.
Like many locals, I did manage to watch both the Blues (for a laugh and some
pre-bitter banter) and Liverpool for a while so I guess it was far more
affordable than today.
