The Mission of the Fall Academy is to provide a fun and challenging soccer environment that will allow players of all levels to develop to the best of their soccer abilities. The Academy is designed to develop technique and build confidence of each individual player in a fun safe environment. Our curriculum has a six- part component comprised of the following:
1. Ball Mastery – Emphasis on players working with both feet with a lot of repetition.
2. Passing & Receiving – Training to improve a player's first touch and accuracy.
3. Moves (1v1) – Training to teach moves to create space and beat defenders.
4. Speed/Agility/Coordination – Focus on acceleration, running with and without the ball.
5. Finishing – Exercises to improve player's ability to score goals under pressure.
6. Group Play – Games that improve possession and combination play.
The Fall Academy is for players 8 to 14. The players will be divided into groups based on age, gender and ability.
Training will be conducted by Magic Coaching Director, Kevin Luse and Magic club coach Daniel Clitnovici both USSF licensed coaches.
Academy begins Wednesday, September 7th at Amend Park at 5:30 - 7pm. A parent/player meeting will be held at 5:20 under the new pavilion in the concession area.
Training will run 5:30 – 7pm every Monday and Wednesday ending on Wednesday, October 19th.
Each player will receive an Academy T-shirt and black shorts that will be worn at all training sessions. Players are encouraged to bring a ball and water bottle and wear white socks.
Thanks,
Kevin Luse
