I hate this part of the year and its not just because there is no actual football being played (or NHL games) its due to the fact that papers, websites and TV/radio stations feel the need to fill the void with what are in the main totally made up stories.
To do this they rely on so called ITKs and present what they say as gospel or if its not what they want to hear they twist it. There was a great example of this on Talkshite yesterday when one of these so called Spanish experts came on and apart from talking about Mata choosing Arsenal over us he mentioned the increasingly boring Fabregas to Barcelona story. He said that someone had mentioned to him that it may be suggested to Fabregas that he refuses to return to Arsenal for pre-season training next week to force through the move.
Next thing the idiot presenters are asking people to phone-in and comment on what they think about Fabregas' decision not to return for training.
The journalist concerned had to issue a statement on his Twitter account later clarifying the situation.
I like how the club is operating and whilst the wait for actual transfer news is a tad annoying to us as fans its a far better way to operate in my view.
