Bringing in Friedel will allow Gulacsi and/or Hansen a chance to head off on loan for the season as it also looks like Brad jones will be off as well.
I think it will be a very good signing as friedel is still a very good keeper and I would have no worries with him between the sticks if Reina was injured etc.

He's been linked with us occasionally throughout the past year.
Personally, I just can't see it.
I think Reina will stay, and how does signing a 40 year old until he is 42
fit in with the owners' ethos of developing younger players. He would only
be our reserve - and is there any indication of our other reserve keepers
leaving?

Seems a bit far fetched to me - dont see why it would be good for either us
or Friedel. Assuming Reina is staying and as we have no European football
any back up keeper isnt going to see a lot of action unless Reina is
injured.
