Do you think Carroll is going to offer a lot to the team when fit or depending on who {if} we bring in another, would end up on the bench more often than the 35mil would warrant?

One day Lucas might manage to win over his doubters completely, until then we get overly optimistic partnerships that wouldn't work all the time unless the opposition was weak and/or our central defence was a lot quicker.

I don't think Carroll has convinced yet, but realistically Kuyt as a striker is not a long term option even if he starts out the season that way.
