Actually Bob, you ask a good question.
Do I not trust Kenny in the transfer market? Obviously the answer is no, but I have to admit that with the passing years, I find myself questioning transfer targets and the eventual purchases of the managers, and not just for Liverpool. I doubt that I am the only one.
It is probably due to loads of factors (most of which i will never know simply because i am not smart enough and not in hot seat) but there have been some downright silly ones. Add to that a personal bias - most people want to see a certain "type" of player and are biased towards that certain type. For example I have always liked players in the Alonso mould, and pace isnt really something that i deem to be all that important, hence my bias towards a certain type of player.
I don't know if that makes any sense :)
As for Young, I just dont think he is good enough. Kenny might have his reasons for wanting him (if he really does), I just dont get it. That said, if he did buy him, I'd be behind em.

Interesting... if - and I think it's a big if as we seem to be doing quite
well with the "keep mum till it's done" philosophy - Kenny wanted him, are
we saying we don't totally trust him in the transfer market here ?

That is great news, us not getting somebody we shouldn't want anyway and the
mancs spending money on a position that shouldn't be their priority.
