Soccer

The six week 3v3 league starts 6/7/2011. All games will be played at Amend Park on Tuesdays only. You may register as a team (up to 6 players) or individually in the following divisions:
 

Age Divisions

 

U-8 Boys / Girls

U-10 Boys / Girls

U-12 Boys / Girls

U-14 Boys / Girls

High School / Open / Coed
 
Registration for the season is $25 per player or $150 per team (6 players max).
 
Depending on the number of registrations we may combine gender/groups. If you would like to play up a group please contact the office to get it cleared.
 
The format for each Tuesday is as follows:
 
530 - 600pm  - 3v3 clinic put on by Magic City Soccer coaching staff. These clinics will provide players/teams with technical/tactical help them improve and make the game more exciting.
 
600 - 800pm  - 3v3 games. Each game is played on a small field and made up of two 12 minute half's. For instance, you may be schedule to play your first game at 6pm and then a second one at 7pm. We will try to give each team a one game break in between matches.
 
There have been a number of players inquiring about registering individually and that is great. Just make sure you show up the first Tuesday and we will match you up with other players in your age group to form a team. Each team will need a manager to be a contact point for the club/league and to attend games to keep the team organized.

Why 3v3 soccer?
 
It's much faster paced and higher scoring than traditional full sided soccer. Everything in 3v3 is multiplied, touches on the ball, decisions with and without the ball, and a chance for all players on the field to be a part of the play and have equal importance each game. I believe after a season of 3v3 soccer each player will improve his or her confidence on the ball and gain a better understanding of how to attack or defend in 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 situations.
