Re: [lfc] Re: No Surprise Really

Taking the non-partisan approach for a minute...

I only caught MOTD briefly on Saturday night and, of course, there were
multi-angle views of what happened.

But was there one of the refs angle ? There is always the possibility that
from his angle, it may have looked totally different... it may have looked
like Rooney simply ran in to him - enough for a free kick, but nothin else.
Just a thought. Either way, this "no action if the ref has acted" rule is
again shown to be seriously flawed.

Does anyone remember that incident in the World Cup (2 or maybe 3 Cups back)
when Brazil were playing ...erm... one of the African teams. The African's
won a penalty even though all angles showed the player hadn't been fowled -
until the following day when footage was released from the ref's angle which
showed one of the Brazil players spinning the African round by his shirt,
could not have been clearer.

Mmm. That is a really shit piece of writing.

Sorry !!

A couple more points - will Clattenburg get demoted for next week at least?
If he really thinks that wasnt a pre-meditated assault there is something
seriously wrong with his judgement.

And will Ferguson have the same reaction if Gerrard brushes past Scholes
next Sunday in the same way? Like feck he will!
