The trouble was that, at the time, Anelka came with serious baggage in the
shape of his brothers. But from a distance it appeared that he was settled at
Anfield and all talk from him since suggests that he's got a soft spot for
the club and the fans.

Not sure whether he's on the decline though and the owners have said they're
looking for talent that will improve.
