Re: [lfc] Re: FT Spoiler

There tends to be subjective reading whenever Roy makes any comment at all.

If you look at what he said the other night, he wasn't slagging the fans off
in the slightest, he was making some honest observations.

>> "We've had to live with that for quite a long time now as ever since I
>> came here the famous Anfield support has not really been there."

That's a fact. From day one even his name has been mocked. Woy, not Roy.
Before even a match was played there was discontent and continued support
for Dalglish. This has continued since and likely won't stop until he's
gone, but it is something nobody can dispute. The support has NOT been there
for him.

>> "There were the problems with the owners, then Kenny being so popular and
>> not getting the job and it being given to me."

Again, he's spot on. There was indeed a lot of resentment at Kenny being
overlooked and the job being given to Roy in the first place.

>> "It is sad and I don't like hearing those things because I am trying to
>> do the best job I can do."

I don't think anyone can disagree with that ? Sure, he's not actually
*doing* a very good job but he is probably doing the best he can.

"Maybe we are lacking quality and lacking confidence - the negativity
doesn't help. The players are not getting on the ball for fear of making
mistakes."

This negativity has not just started, it has been there for weeks... months
even... I can honestly say I have never witnessed so much abuse from our
supporters towards anyone at our club in over 40 years of following the
Redmen.

Like everyone, I'm not happy with how things are at the club, but we don't
need to twist every single word the manager utters simply to prove a point.

If he had had the support from the beginning, things may have been
different. Of course they could have been just the same, but at least we
could say we gave him a chance. When he finally goes, we can't say we
supported him through the wind and the rain.

And that's not TLW.

What a shock, much like all his previous 'apologies' it misses out the
actual apology part.
