There hasn't been a Fowler or a Gerrard come through recently but you feel
there have been signs of an improvement in quality during the past couple of
seasons and that some of the youngsters offer a better option than spending
good money on second rate transfers.
If we start selling off the best of them to make a few bob and reduce the
squad size, it's short sighted, scant reward for years of investment and
makes it feel like we're searching down the back of the sofa for the oddlost
coin to stick in the electricity meter.
If the Yanks manage to get the loan extended, we're so screwed
